[11/27/00] It’s great to see Creepy Crawlers in stores again. The Plastigoop 3-Paks are available at Kmart, and on-line at ToysRus.com. Attention Collectors: I added a bunch of Mattel Factory Sealed Play Paks to the For Sale page. Check them out here.

[9/23/00] I’ve updated the Tips Page to include all the on-line stores that I’ve seen Toymax Creepy Crawlers items at. You can now order Plastigoop through Toys R Us’s online store (their web site is now a part of Amazon.com’s site).

[9/4/00] I got one of Toymax’s new Mold Paks. Click here to see a pic. Unfortunately, it contained 2 old molds in it: A tarantula from ’92 and one of the Itty Bitty Critter molds from ‘96. Very disappointing. Looks like the other two “new” mold paks are re-issues also. Well, the good thing that came out of this is that goop is back in stores again. Maybe they’re testing the waters again, to see if there’s any current interest in Creepy Crawlers? Lets hope there is. If you do buy the new mold paks, make sure you send in your warranty registration card, and tell Toymax we want new molds. There is something kinda neat about the plastigoop bottle that came in the Mold Pak though. It is a regular shaped goop bottle, with 2 labels on it, in the new design. The front is in color, while the back is in a purple tone. Click to see the label’s Front and Back.

[8/27/00] Well, it’s that time of the year again. This web site’s anniversary! It’s been three years since I started this adventure of a web site. As usual, I made some structural updates to the site in celebration. New pages, new pictures, and creepy fonts. Try out the new cascading menu system. Let me know how you like everything. Thanks goes out to all who have contributed to make this a great site. Also thanks to all who have said so many kind words about this huge Thingmaker resource through the years. Keep on goopin!

[8/20/00] Guess what I found at K-mart? Toymax’s new stuff! Well, the goop bottles are new anyway. They changed their plastigoop bottles this time around. Very neat shape and the labels are fantastic. They even have pictures of bugs on the labels! I’ve only found 6 colors so far, but they advertise 12. Click to see the bottles, and the card front and back. They made a few mistakes on the back of the card though – oops. The oven has also been released, but the molds included are not new. The set I saw had a mold with wasps (probably from the Wasp Warriors pak), and a mold with bugs (water bug, caterpillar, etc). It was very disappointing to see them re-use molds in a new packaged box. I hope they don’t re-use molds in the 3 new mold paks that are due out any day now. Well at least it is a nice feeling to see plastigoop available in stores again, instead of having to mail order from Toymax. I saw Toymax’s new Incredible Edibles set at Toys R Us. Called the “Fright Factory”, lets you make gummy-type edibles, but not with a cooker. Some kind of mix. The main set had a mold for a weird head and a heard. Pretty neat looking. Well, keep your fingers crossed for the new mold paks…

[6/6/00] The new Toymax molds should ship in September. The 3 new mold paks are tentatively titled: “Bad Bugs”, “Roaming Reptiles”, and Scary Spiders”.  Also there is supposed to be a new style of Plastigoop bottles. Sounds interesting. There will also be another oven, but it will be just like the last few , only a slightly different style. Only a few months away!

[4/18/00]  Back by popular demand: My “For Sale” page is back up. So many of you have been asking if I have any extra stuff to sell. Well, I gathered enough to put together a sale page. Click here to check it out.

[3/7/00]  Here's a little recent info about Toymax, from a Feb 14th press release. Hints at what the new mold paks might be:

Toymax Reintroduces Creepy Crawlers Bug Maker At Toy Fair 2000: "The overwhelming consumer demand for Creepy Crawlers products prompted us to re-introduce this classic toy," said Steven Lebensfeld, president of Toymax International. "Toymax's 2000 product line includes the best of two centuries with both classic craft toys such as the Creepy Crawlers Bug Maker, and toys that incorporate the latest technologies, such as our Download Racers product that allows kids to customize an IR stock car through a CD-ROM and the Internet." The re-designed Creepy Crawlers Mold Pack Sets include a disgusting variety of large, medium and small size critters. From revolting Killer Wasps to sickening Savage Centipedes and prehistoric Pterodactyls, another generation of kids will love to create unique-looking Creepy Crawlers to gross out their siblings and friends.

[1/24/00]  Well, this is the first news item for 2000, and it’s great news! Toymax will have new Creepy Crawlers coming out this fall. No word on what they will be yet. Maybe all our suggestions to keep the Creepy Crawlers line alive paid off. Thanks to all who contacted Toymax!
