[8/29/07] Wow, has it already been 10 years since I started this web site? Time flies when you're having fun. Thanks to all who contributed pictures and info to this web site over the years. We've all had so many fun trades, sales and correspondence together. Good times...

Some Creepy Collector News: Jakks released a strange new Creepy Crawlers item recently. They're Fling 'Ems. No molds or goop, just pre-made stretchy bugs and worms that you can fling through the air. Click the pics for close-ups. Fellow collector Burt Buchanan spotted this item at Toys R Us. Thanks as always Professor Burt for sharing!

[11/28/06] The replacement goop is flowing strong! Our newest goop seller, Patty Flower, created and sells her very own 'Patti-Goop'. She also has 'Deetail Patti-Goop', which is like Toymax's GoopFX. Her goop works great. She doesn't have a web site, but she usually has some auctions running on eBay. She buys her goop from the original manufacturer that Mattel used in the 60’s so it has 'the smell'. I also have a link for her auctions, and also Ed's Retro-Hobbies site on my Tips page.

[9/2/06] Creepy Crawlers are back again! Thanks go out to fellow collector Bill Armstrong for spotting them! Jakks has a new oven, molds (new and re-runs) and plasti-goop. The new mold packs have a window so you can see one of the molds. Very nice packaging. I have seen 3 new molds so far. Two of the three new ones can be found in the mold pack with the lizards in the window. The hidden mold in that pack is the snakes mold. The other new one, a worms mold, can be found hiding in the mold pack with the re-run centipede/snake mold in the window. They snuck that one in there! These can be found currently in stores like Target, Toys R Us and also on-line. I have updated the Tips page to reflect the current status of goop, ovens, etc.

[4/8/06] Well it looks like Amazon currently doesn't sell the Flying Colors goop anymore. You can still get it at Back to Basic toys, or possibly your local Toys R Us. Fellow Collector Ed Douglass has a web site called Retro-Hobbies, where he sells replacement parts for the original Thingmaker sets, including Plasti-Craft goop. I have used it, and it works great. The stuff I tried even smelled very similar to Mattel's goop. He has glow, regular, fluorescent, super-plastic (like plasti-steel) etc.

Ed has also set up a great forum on his site, so we can chat about goop, Thingmakers and similar stuff. The forum link is at the bottom of his Retro-Hobbies site. See you there!

I have updated the Tips page to reflect the current status of goop, ovens, etc.

[6/26/05] I added a page here for a new Creepy Crawlers type toy called the 'Spiderman Creature Creator'. It is made by a company called 'Popular de Juguetes, S.L.'. You can purchase it currently at eToys. (if that link stops working, just do a search on their site for 'Spiderman Creator').

The Flying Colors regular and glow plastigoop can still be purchased at Amazon.com. I have also seen some Toymax goop at my local Toys R Us from time to time. Also, there is another Web Site that sells the Flying Colors oven and regular Plasti-goop, called 'Back To Basics Toys'. Click here to jump to their site. Thanks go to Kelly McMasters for spotting goop at that site.

[4/23/04] Well nothing new yet from Flying Colors. Supplies seem to have dried up at local stores. You can still find goop on-line at the Toys-R-Us web site (Amazon.com).

Good news for collectors of the old Mattel Vac-U-Form. If you're looking for refill sheets, I have info on where to purchase new replacement sheets here.

[1/2/04] Happy New Year! I updated the Flying Colors page with some new pictures. I put a picture of the 2 new molds that come with their new oven. I thought they would just re-use the old Toymax molds, but they made new ones. Click here to see them.
