This is a new technique I discovered for molding Creepies, using colored sand.

This is how you do it. Take a small container (dixie cups work great), and pour enough goop into it for the mold you're going to make. Then add a small amount of sand - very small amount. For an average sized mold, a 16th teaspoon is about right. You'll have to experiment with the amounts, based on the size of the mold you choose.

Stir up the mixture, and pour it into the mold. Let it sit a few minutes before you cook it, to let the sand settle. Cook it like you would a normal mold. That's it!

The sand I used is called: "Super Cool Designer Sand". Comes in a box of 4 colors, 1 lb. of each. It was on clearance for $5. This technique only works on goop colors that are less opaque. The opaque colors don't let the sand settle. Although, that's kind of a neat effect in itself, but it looks a lot better when it's able to settle. Also, this doesn't work on dark colored goop. Light colored goop works best. You can also use Goop FX for detailing eyes, etc., before you pour in the goop mixture. That's what I did, as you can see in my pictures.

If you find some different sand that works better, or have a technique of your own you'd like to share, let me know about it!
